At Bolted Box, decades of industry experience meet today’s technology to create the smarter, simpler way to rent and buy containers. The storage industry has moved on from costly trailers and off-site warehouses to ground-level containers that lower costs, tighten security, and make jobsites safer. However, too many providers still make the process harder than it needs to be, with inefficient ordering, additional fees, complicated contracts, and slow, bureaucratic service. Founded by Matthew and Connor Claymon, Bolted Box was started to solve these problems and make container rentals the easiest part of any project.

Matthew Claymon brings more than 40 years of leadership in the portable storage and modular office industry. He co-founded Pac-Van, Inc., growing it into one of the largest portable storage and modular office providers in the U.S. before its acquisition by United Rentals in 2021. Matthew later co-owned Tyson Onsite, a leading provider of mobile, modular, classrooms, and containers, which was acquired by WillScot Mobile Mini Holdings Corp. in 2018. These ventures proved his ability to build companies on operational excellence, customer focus, and market value creation.

Through these experiences, Matthew learned that while containers are the product, providing exceptional service is the real value.

Connor Claymon brings a modern, digital-first perspective to Bolted Box. He’s an honors graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, having double majored in Finance and Entrepreneurship. Connor was first trained in financial planning at Valeo Financial Advisors, then business valuation at CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA).

These professional experiences helped him form deep knowledge about what exactly drives value in different types of organizations. Even further, Connor’s extensive educational focus on entrepreneurship taught him the ins and outs of starting a successful enterprise, which he brings to Bolted Box with each decision.
