Storage Container Rental in Lafayette, Indiana
Lafayette has a lot of steady work. Crews run campus projects around Purdue University, and the advanced manufacturing and automotive plants in the area schedule expansions, maintenance windows, and shutdowns that need secure space right where the work is. That’s most of what a storage container rental in Lafayette, Indiana gets used for: tools, materials, parts, and paperwork kept dry and locked at ground level.

New one-trip 20 ft and 40 ft storage containers, delivered to Lafayette from our Indianapolis yard.
Storage Container Rental Prices in Lafayette
Most customers start with the 40 ft, which rents for $185 per 28-day cycle. The 20 ft runs $165 and is the better pick when the drop spot is tight or you don’t need that much room. Whatever rate lands on your quote is locked for the life of the rental, so it won’t creep up after a few periods or reset when the job runs long.
Every container we rent is new one-trip: corten steel, standard ISO dimensions, cargo doors, and a welded steel lockbox that shields the lock from bolt cutters. A heavy duty security lock rents for $14 per 28-day period, matched to the container and brought out on delivery day. Storage containers are not climate controlled, so anything sensitive to heat or humidity belongs in an office container.
Storage container rental prices in Lafayette, Indiana also stay clean on the invoice. No-fees pricing means no property fees, no excise taxes, and no fuel surcharges. If you find a lower qualifying rate on the exact same product, we’ll match it under our low price guarantee. Ordering online at rent.boltedbox.com with code ONLINE takes $100 off. What are the typical costs and rental periods for storage containers in the Lafayette area?
Plan on $185 per cycle for a 40 ft and $165 for a 20 ft, billed every 28 days rather than by calendar month. That works out to 13 billing periods a year, so every so often two invoices land in the same month. There’s no minimum term, so a two-week punch list job and a two-year plant project are priced the same way per cycle.
Office Container Rental in Lafayette
An office container rental in Lafayette, Indiana solves a different problem: your people need somewhere to sit, meet, and keep documents out of the weather. Superintendents use them as the jobsite office, plant and facilities managers set them up during shutdowns and capital projects, and retail teams park one behind the building during a remodel so the manager still has a desk.
Office container rental prices in Lafayette, Indiana are $725 per 28-day cycle for the 20 ft office, $850 for the 40 ft office, and $775 for the 40 ft office/storage combo. The combo pairs office space with secure storage behind its own cargo doors, which is a practical setup when you want a desk and a locked materials area in one footprint.
Every office we rent is new one-trip and climate controlled with heat and A/C, with a built-in desk. We provide the container; you arrange power, either land power run to the unit or a generator. Get that lined up before delivery so the heat and A/C are running on day one.
Long-term office rentals work exactly like short ones: billing stays on the 28-day cycle, the rate stays locked, and there’s no renewal paperwork when a three-month job turns into fifteen months. The office container rental cost in Lafayette, Indiana worth comparing is the all-in number, meaning the rate plus delivery and pickup with nothing added afterward. More detail is on our office containers page.
What Does Delivery to Lafayette Cost?
Lafayette is about 55 miles from our yard at 96th St and Michigan Rd, roughly 55 minutes up I-65 North.
Delivery to Lafayette typically runs around $425 per trip, with pickup priced the same way.
These are estimates only. Your actual delivery and pickup price is calculated for your exact site and shown on your quote before you accept, and it can vary quite a bit based on current fuel prices, site access, and scheduling.
The pickup price is locked when you order, so there’s no surprise number months later. Delivery and pickup both appear on your first invoice only and never recur. Every rental also needs insurance coverage, satisfied with either a certificate of insurance or the Loss Damage Waiver, which is an optional service we offer, not a fee.
How Ordering and Delivery Work
- Get a quote. Call or order online and you’ll have pricing the same day, priced for your actual Lafayette site.
- Accept the quote. Then send over your certificate of insurance or opt into the waiver.
- We schedule delivery. We schedule as soon as possible and confirm the date with you before the driver heads north.
We run our own trucks, trailers, and drivers, so your delivery isn’t waiting on a third-party hauler. When the job wraps, one call starts the pickup, since there’s no minimum term holding you to anything.
Site Requirements for Delivery in Lafayette
Containers arrive on a tilt-bed truck. The driver backs in, tilts the bed, and slides the container into place, so no crane or forklift is needed. What the driver does need is room to work:
- Backing room. At least 100 feet of straight-line space for a 40 ft and about 80 feet for a 20 ft. For tight sites, a 20 ft can be dropped in roughly 50 feet with our integrated tow-style truck at a higher delivery price; that option isn’t available for a 40 ft.
- Overhead clearance. About 14 feet along the path and up to 16 feet at the drop point. Watch power lines, tree limbs, and canopies.
- Ground conditions. Firm, level, and well drained. Gravel, compacted stone, asphalt, and concrete all work. We can build a compacted rock pad if the spot needs one.
- Door direction. Decide which way the doors should face before delivery day.
If you’re unsure whether your spot works, send a photo when you request pricing and we’ll tell you straight. Full details are on our delivery requirements page.
We also deliver to nearby Lebanon, Kokomo, and Terre Haute.
