Why Rent From a Container Company With Its Own Trucks and Drivers

When you compare container rental companies, most of the attention goes to the rate. That makes sense, but the rate only covers the container itself. The part that actually touches your site is the delivery, the placement, and the pickup, and how that goes depends almost entirely on who is driving the truck. At Bolted Box, we own our trucks and trailers and use our own drivers, so every step from your first call to the day the container leaves is handled by our team.

What Happens When Delivery Gets Handed Off

Plenty of container companies, especially out-of-state brokers, don’t run their own trucks. Instead, they pass your order to whatever carrier is available that week. That carrier has never been to your site, hasn’t talked to your team, and is usually working someone else’s schedule on top of yours. So when something goes sideways, you end up calling a company that has to call a different company just to find out where the truck is.

When the same company owns the container, the truck, and the driver, there’s no hand-off. Whoever answers your call can see the schedule, talk to the driver directly, and give you a real answer.

We Plan the Delivery Before the Truck Leaves the Yard

A good delivery starts well before the container shows up. Once your quote is accepted, we confirm the delivery date with you ahead of time and talk through the details that matter on site, like where the container should sit, which way the doors should face, and anything the driver needs to know about getting in and out. Our delivery site requirements page covers the basics if you want to check your site ahead of time.

From there, our office and our drivers stay in contact the whole way, so the driver knows the plan before he ever gets in the truck. On delivery day, he calls your site contact when he’s on the way, usually about an hour out. That gives your crew time to clear the drop spot, open a gate, or meet him at the entrance instead of scrambling when a truck pulls in unannounced.

Our Drivers Take Care of Your Property, Not Just the Container

Dropping a container takes more than backing up and tilting the bed. Our drivers are experienced and respectful, and they treat your site the way they’d want someone to treat theirs.

  • Wood blocks on asphalt and concrete: We set the container on wood blocks so the steel corners don’t gouge or crack your pavement.
  • Staying on hard ground: Whenever the site allows, we keep the truck on gravel, pavement, or other hard surfaces so we don’t leave deep ruts in your grass or tear up landscaping.
  • Careful placement: We put the container where you asked, lined up with the curb, parking spaces, or fence line you had in mind.

Our drivers are also friendly and easy to work with, whether they’re dealing with your superintendent, your store staff, or your customers. On a busy jobsite or in front of an open business, that makes a bigger difference than most people expect.

We Show Up When We Say We Will, Including for Pickup

Most companies talk about delivery speed, but pickup gets overlooked. When a project is wrapping up, a container that sits an extra week can hold up final cleanup, site restoration, or a parking lot getting back to normal. Because we run our own trucks, we schedule pickups the same way we schedule deliveries, and we show up on the day we give you.

Pickup pricing is just as simple. Your pickup price is locked in when you order and doesn’t change later. There’s also no minimum rental term, no early termination penalty, and no fuel surcharge added when the truck comes back.

Someone Actually Answers the Phone

None of this works if you can’t reach anyone. When you call (317) 606-2658, it rings our whole team at once, so you’re talking to a real person who knows your order rather than waiting on a call center. If you need to move a delivery date, add a container, or schedule a pickup, one call handles it. And since we’re a local, family-owned Indiana company, the people you talk to are the same people making the decisions.

Questions to Ask Before You Choose a Container Company

Whoever you end up renting from, these questions will tell you a lot about what delivery and pickup will actually look like:

  • Do you own your trucks and use your own drivers, or do you hire outside carriers?
  • Will the driver call my site contact before arriving?
  • How do you protect pavement and grass during delivery and pickup?
  • Is the pickup price locked in when I order?
  • Are there fuel surcharges, early termination penalties, or minimum rental terms?
  • When I call, who actually picks up?

If a company can answer all of those clearly, you’re probably in good hands. We’re always happy to walk through any of them with you, and you can see our full process on the How It Works page.
